Is excited to partner with Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) and Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) on workshops and other collaborative\, on-the-ground action with Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and other interested communities whose traditional territories overlap the Southwest Manitoba Priority Place (SWMPP) project boundary. We hope to build new relationships\, find partnership opportunities and engage communities in this ongoing initiative to deliver an Integrated Conservation Action Plan (ICAP) for the region that honours and incorporates socio-economic-cultural perspectives that is founded on a shared vision for the landscape and a spirit of collaboration and reconciliation. Outcomes of strategic public engagement and land management initiatives are expected to support Species at Risk and biodiversity overall. \nJoin us on September 21st\, for a day of networking with other Indigenous communities\, discuss environmental priorities\, challenges\, and learn about local Indigenous-lead conservation initiatives\, tools\, and resources available to communities. \nTravel costs are covered for attendees located within the Southwest Manitoba Priority Place boundary.
